First my toes
Then my foot
Into nothingness
Into the basic void
That fills the darkness
That children fear
And adults tell themselves
They don't
Do you believe them?
Will this absence of
Color, shape, spirit
Soak through my skin
Absorb everything
That has made me alive
Death is such a strong word
And i fall back into
The life you said was gone
And the chaos will hold
A place in my soul
And devour it slowly
